In Lesson 4, we were introduced to CSS. CSS is a extension to the usual HTML, as it comprises of designs and layouts that would enhance the features of the website. The CSS is more complexed than HTML as it makes use of a wide range of different commands which would help to change the colour, align the website and many more.
After the lesson, we were assigned to do an assignment, which was to add on to the previous HTML website we had created. We were to make use of the CSS to add colour background as well as align it properly. I believe the hardest part was to align the text properly as there is a need for guessing the correct percentage to achieve the correct one at the end.

Lesson 3
In Lesson 3 of IS, we were introduced to HTML. In general, HTML is used to create a blog with a wide range of commands for the user to make use of. In this lesson, we were taught the very basic structure for HTML codes. It is written as below:

Overall, I found the lesson quite fulfilling as the topic of making a website really interest me. Aside from the basic codes, we were also taught how to insert hyperlinks and how to bold, underline etc.

Lesson 2 Reflections
For Lesson 2 of our infocomm studies, we were asked to participate in a forum activity, which were broken down into 3 different categories: social impact on new media technologies, ethical issues on media usage and intellectual property and blog / website differences.
The forum category I'm supposed to do is the topic on "Ethical issues on media usage". For this topic, we are supposed to watch a youtube video on "Copy not right". The youtube video shows that copyrighted items should not be taken without permission from the owner. However, it also states that if information was to be extracted for only personal use, it would then not be illegal and we are then allowed to retrieve our information from the source. Unauthorised use and downloading of copyrighted materials for commercial advantage or to a significant extend is illegal and offenders may face a consequences of fining, imprison or both.

Self-Reflection on the First IS Lesson
For our first IS lesson, we were introduced to a new teacher, Mr Kent, who would be teaching us on Web & New Media. As compared to our previous topic on C++, I would have more knowledge of this topic as I had once an experience of handling a blog.
We were taught about the Internet and the World Wide Web. New terms were taught to us like URL's (Uniform Resource Locator), IP (Internet Protocol) Address, FTP (File Transfer Protocol) and many more. I came to know new things like the advocacy website which I never knew before.
In this lesson, the new knowledge that interests me the most is the history of internet. I had never known that the Internet was only released in 1969 with only 4 host nodes. There was a massive change from the 4 host nodes in the past to more than 200 million host nodes presently.
Also, I came to know about the Web 2.0, an advanced version of Web 1.0. In the past, Web 1.0 could only allow 1 person to connect with the rest of the world in the Internet. However, currently, Web 2.0 had made it possible for the world to interact with each other via the World Wide Web.
